Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou

The story of "love, magic, and battles" revolves around Akuto Sai, a boy who aims to become part of his country’s highest order of magicians and contribute to society. His dream is to one day become a "high priest", an exemplar and champion of good. On the day he is admitted into the Constant Magick Academy, his aptitude test predicts the following: "Future Occupation … Demon Lord ." Thus begins his difficult school life in which he is resented by his studious female class head, desired by a girl with mysterious powers, and guarded by a beautiful female android.

A young man prepares to attend a magic academy, but on his first day he receives his career prognosis: "Maou," or demon king, known historically as the man who tried to destroy the world.

30th century AD, in a world where magic exists naturally, 100 years have passed since a great war between the human race and the devil king. The war concluded with a victory for the human race, though it made many sacrifices, and slowly but surely the civilizations are developing once again. One time, a witch walked down into a small town holding a newborn baby in her arms, she stopped in front of a church, put the baby in front of their door then disappeared.
Ten years later, the baby taken in by the church was named Sai Akuto ("Worst Evil"), and, even though he was raised in the orphanage, he awed and perplexed people with his preaching about love of mankind and equality like a man of virtue. Later Akuto decided he wanted to live in modesty so as not to trouble others, and before long a family offered themselves to adopt him. However, on the day Akuto left the orphanage, a new girl was brought to the orphanage. The girl cannot stop crying because of loneliness, troubling the adults around her. Akuto, having seen all this, decided to bring all his money given to him by the orphanage for his future living expenses and buy a hair ornament with a jewel on it. He handed it over to the girl to make her stop crying and promised they’ll meet again someday if she stops crying and takes a good care of the ornament.
Five years later, Akuto passed the test to enter Constantin Magic High School, and left his foster father’s home. He made a new friend on his way to the school, and he arrived at the school. Then he underwent the vocational aptitude test, a test which is one of the school’s rules to determine a student’s future occupation. "Examination Numbers: Number 021, Name: Sai Akuto. Future Occupation: the Devil King"…

Akuto Sai

Akuto Sai was left on the doorsteps of a church by an unknown woman. He grows up and transfers into the Costant Academy for Magick Arts, hoping to someday become a high priest. He meets Junko Hattori on the train to the school and forms a pact with her to make the world a better place. However, upon arriving, Yata Garasu, the school’s oracular spirit, predicts that he will become a Demon King in the future. These predictions have never been wrong before, and the student body becomes terrified and paranoid of him as a result. Even so, he still tries to do the right thing when the situation arises and he is shown to have an incredible amount of power within him. He can control ¨mana¨ For example, he is able to absorb the mana of a demon dog thus transforming it back into a puppy, a feat that has never been performed before. However, his immense power is also highly volatile and most of his attempts at creating magical projectiles, no matter how benign they are supposed to be, usually result in catastrophic explosions. Over the course of the series, Akuto is able to persuade more students to trust him, or at the very least not to assassinate him. He later acquires a powerful "artifact" that belonged to the previous Demon King, a massive dragon named Peterhausen
